Mini Album Embellishments

Many of you had asked that I show you how I decorate the mini album. I had so much fun with this project and I was so inspired by it, that I made my own mini ephemera to add to it. You will find the printables I used for this project in my shop, but you can also click below.

I also added a second set that can be used in the mini album or for any of your creative projects. I created some mini polaroids and made them the perfect size to fit in the mini album! Remember to check out my shop for more printables that you can use in your crafty projects.

As with any project, you can certainly use your own pieces to decorate. I just like to have an option of some that fit nicely in the project, no need to guess what to put inside. Here is part 2 of decorating the mini album.

If you did not see the original video on how we made this mini album, and want to make your own. Here is the tutorial on how to make the base for your mini album using one sheet of 12" paper.

I hope you have a moment to create something today!

What is a Zine? Mini Book Love!

What is a zine? Well here is the description I found: zine (/ziːn/ ZEEN; short for magazine or fanzine) is a small-circulation self-published work of original or appropriated texts and images, usually reproduced via a copy machine.

I had previously shared this quick and easy project using 1 sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" sheet of paper. These are called zines, or mini journals. I enjoy combining left over paper scraps with some quick and easy to use supplies. You can make these with any paper.

I love the size of these Zine's, they are approx. 4 1/4" 2 3/4" closed. Tiny little books. No glue or sewing  needed to make the base of these cute projects. In the video below I show you a few versions of them.

I love the idea of being able to make copies of your completed work that you can share with friends and family. I think that is what made this project to exciting for me. That you can duplicate a little book and share that. I also took those copies and made them unique in their own way.

I love being able to use 1 page to create a mini album. I recently started working on a new version, and will be sharing that with you soon. Keep an eye out for those posts!

I often get asked what paper and printer I use for my creations. Here is a link to my fave supplies, including paper and printer.

Little Embellishment Clusters - Use Your Scraps

I shared this video a long time back, but I think it's always great to look back at projects and get reminded of what you enjoyed about them. I love that I was able to use up lot's of scraps and left over bits of paper and fabric. I also loved using those gorgeous cancelled stamps. This is another version for those of you that don't have cancelled stamps to use.

I hope you enjoy these easy embellishment ideas, they are so easy to make and make any project have that special extra touch.

Ideas Junk Journal #2 Flip Through

I have found that having an Ideas Junk Journal / Reference Journal has helped me so much when I am having creative block. Having a couple of these ideas style journals helps to keep the inspiration going.

I have shared the flip through of my first one before, but here it is just in case you have not seen it. I am now working on starting my 3rd such journal / reference book and I have to decide what size I want to work with next. I might film a tutorial on how I put the actual journal together. I think I will try a different style of journal for the next one.

I have also filmed a few videos showing the process of most of the ideas in my second journal. I have made so many projects, it is so much easier to remember the process this way. I hope you enjoy this quick share and have time to make your own ideas journal! You will find the links to many of the other projects on my Junk Journal #2 flip through.

Happy Crafting.

Mini Album - Use Up Your 12" Papers

I really enjoyed making this easy mini album / folio. The base is made using one sheet of 12" paper! You can use a single sided sheet or a double sided one.

I found using a double sided sheet of paper makes it easier for decorating, and it looks just a lovely! I added some of my new mini digital ephemera, which I made to fit in this mini album. You will find my digital links on my shop tab.

Measurements: Use a 12" x 12" Sheet of paper. Score one side at 3 1/2", 4", 8" and 8 1/2", turn your paper to the left, and score at 3" and 7 1/2"

I hope you enjoyed the tutorial! Leave a comment if you want to see more of these types of crafts!

Junk Mail Envelope Folio

I was just reminded by one of my subscribers that this was a fun and easy project to make, again, using junk mail envelopes. I do love to repurpose and rescue paper whenever possible. I think this is such a fun and easy project to put together quickly. A great idea for when you want to create something, but are not sure what to make.

This is where we decorate what we just made. I thought I would have both videos in one post to make it easy, just in case you are looking for decorating ideas for the quick project you just made!

Happy Crafting,

Easy Mini Journal Tutorial - Got Paper Bags??

I have previously shared a quick tutorial on my YouTube channel on how you can make a quick and easy mini paper bag junk journal. You can use what you already have in your craft room. If you have paper bags, this will be so fun to put together.

I even show you the easy 3 hole pamphlet stitch step by step to be able to add your pages in a more permanent and fancy way (not staples required). I hope you enjoy this Tutorial. Also remember to check out my channel's tutorial playlist for more how-to ideas.
