Mini Creative Journal

I have been working in my mini creative journal. Mostly keeping ideas for different techniques that I can try. It is also a fun way to do some quick creating. No pressure. Tiny pages to fill.

These are the pages I have created so far. I think this one was one of my faves. It's allowing me to use a couple of supplies I normally don't use together.

I hope you find some time to get creative!

Using Your Journals - How I Use Mine

It's been a minute since I shared a flip through of one of my personal completed junk journals. I will have a new video up very soon.  I enjoy the process so much, but I have found that most recently I don't enjoy to film the process. So I thought I would show you some videos of past journals and how I fill them. This is one question that I always get and I love having a variety of journals to show how I use them.

Check out the playlist on my channel, for more inspiration. I do have some past journal with me videos as well. I share the process of creative journaling in my handmade journals.

Do you find it easy to fill a journal? Do you have several different journals that you use on an ongoing basis? I certainly do. Different sizes, and styles. I like to change them up often. It keeps me inspired.

Happy Journaling!

Tutorial - Making A Junk Journal From Start To Finish

I thought I would show you another way to make a junk journal from start to finish. I do have a few different version on my channel's Beginner Junk Journal Ideas playlist. However, this version is a new one I wanted to try, and thought I would make it from start to finish.

Here is what you will need: Cereal boxes, paper of your choice, glue, packing tape.

I show you how to make this hardcover version. Remember you can use whatever papers you choose. I enjoy using digitals because I can print out as much or as little as I want, and they usually come with some great ephemera pieces, like the digitals I used in this video.

You will add a flip pocket to the inside cover.

You will learn how to stitch your pages in the cover for a hidden stitch style.

You will have a completed Junk Journal at the end of the video.

Tools and materials used in the video:
- Cereal box cardboard - Your chosen papers for the covers (inside and out) - Your chosen journal pages - Packing tape 2 inch - A link to similar one to what I used see my fave amazon supplies. - Tacky glue - does not warp paper - links to the glue on my fave amazon supplies. - Thread (crochet, embroidery,….) - Needle - Awl - Paperclips - Paper trimmer (optional) - Scissors

Cover pieces cut at 8 3/4" x 6" - Need 2 pieces
Spine cut at 8 3/4" x 1" - I used 2 pieces but you can use 1.

I hope you enjoy this tutorial. Check out my YouTube channel for more ideas and inspiration.

Have fun crafting!

Ideas Junk Journal #2 Flip Through

I have found that having an Ideas Junk Journal / Reference Journal has helped me so much when I am having creative block. Having a couple of these ideas style journals helps to keep the inspiration going.

I have shared the flip through of my first one before, but here it is just in case you have not seen it. I am now working on starting my 3rd such journal / reference book and I have to decide what size I want to work with next. I might film a tutorial on how I put the actual journal together. I think I will try a different style of journal for the next one.

I have also filmed a few videos showing the process of most of the ideas in my second journal. I have made so many projects, it is so much easier to remember the process this way. I hope you enjoy this quick share and have time to make your own ideas journal! You will find the links to many of the other projects on my Junk Journal #2 flip through.

Happy Crafting.

Happy New Year!!

How I get organized!

I hope you are having a wonderful start to the new year! With a new year, usually comes resolutions. One quick thing that I always enjoy doing, and it makes it easy to keep my resolutions, is start small. To organize my craft supplies, I like to use quick and easy things that I already have around (also I could always make something) to organize my supplies. This makes it easier to find things when I need them.

In this video I will show you how I organize some of my stamps, die cuts, ephemera and embossed folder papers using things that you may already have at home. Some quick and easy ways to accomplish this and check off one my resolutions, keeping organized.

I hope you find these ideas helpful. Let me know what you liked the most and also, any tips or ideas you might have. Also, let me know what other items you have been meaning to organize, and would like some tips and tricks on getting that done.

Happy organizing!
