I thought I would show you another way to make a junk journal from start to finish. I do have a few different version on my channel's Beginner Junk Journal Ideas playlist. However, this version is a new one I wanted to try, and thought I would make it from start to finish.
Here is what you will need: Cereal boxes, paper of your choice, glue, packing tape.
I show you how to make this hardcover version. Remember you can use whatever papers you choose. I enjoy using digitals because I can print out as much or as little as I want, and they usually come with some great ephemera pieces, like the digitals I used in this video.
You will learn how to stitch your pages in the cover for a hidden stitch style.
You will have a completed Junk Journal at the end of the video.
Tools and materials used in the video:
- Cereal box cardboard
- Your chosen papers for the covers (inside and out)
- Your chosen journal pages
- Packing tape 2 inch - A link to similar one to what I used see my fave amazon supplies.
- Tacky glue - does not warp paper - links to the glue on my fave amazon supplies.
- Thread (crochet, embroidery,….)
- Needle
- Awl
- Paperclips
- Paper trimmer (optional)
- Scissors
Cover pieces cut at 8 3/4" x 6" - Need 2 pieces
Spine cut at 8 3/4" x 1" - I used 2 pieces but you can use 1.
I hope you enjoy this tutorial. Check out my YouTube channel for more ideas and inspiration.
Have fun crafting!
